My accountant - Shared Documents

I am a bookkeeper and I have a new client.  They showed me a screenshot of all their bank statements in My Accountant > Shared Documents under my business and ID.  When I log in (the accountant) and open My accountant > Shared Documents, there is "Nothing to see here" listed under the Shared Documents tab.  Why can't I see the documents she has shared?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), accountant firms and their clients can exchange documents in just a few clicks. If you're having trouble accessing your shared documents, let's try refreshing the page by clicking the Refresh button located beside the Search documents box.


If you're still unable to see the documents, I'd recommend contacting your client to verify whether the file has been uploaded successfully and posted to your profile. Currently, we have an ongoing investigation (INV-93925) about missing documents in the shared documents tab. If the issue persists after doing the steps above, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. By doing so, they will be able to add you to the list of affected users, and you will receive an email regarding the investigation update. Rest assured that our engineers are working diligently to resolve your issue and get your business up and running again.

My accountant - Shared Documents

@ShyMae Yes definitely refreshed, logged in and out, waited a full day, logged in from a different browser, the works. 

 

She sent me a screenshot showing all the documents are there and my company and user is listed above them.  I even had my business partner log into the account and she too, did not have any documents.

Upon checking here, there is an open investigation about missing documents in the "Shared documents" tab. Rest assured that our Product Engineers are doing their best to swiftly resolve this matter and get you back to business. 

 

In the meantime, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Support Team. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users and be prioritized in receiving email updates about the ongoing investigation. Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click the Help button at the top right corner.
  3. Go to the Search tab, then select Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief discussion with your concern, then click Continue.
  5. Choose to Have us call you to connect with us.

As your client list is growing, you can keep it up to date. You can add a client, update their information, and even make them inactive. Please refer to this article: Manage clients in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
