QB Enterprise Accounting TOols

We have QB Enterprise Desktop. I am going to Company>Accounting Tools>Fix Unapplied Customer Payments and Credits and I am unable to change the Review Period. Can anyone direct me as to how to do this?

QB Enterprise Accounting TOols

Hello there, DJ0624.

Let me provide details on how changing the review period works in QuickBooks to ensure you're able to verify the reason why you won't be allowed to do this on your end.

Based on your statement, it appears that you are using the regular edition of QuickBooks. This means that the steps you stated or the section you're referring to will not allow you to adjust the review period. It solely shows unapplied payments and credits, regardless of the date associated with the entries.

On the other hand, please note that the review period option you mean is only available in the QuickBooks Accountant Enterprise version. If you're using the said plan, you can follow the steps below.

  1. Select Client Data Review via the Accountant menu.
  2. Pick Client Data Review.
  3. Click the Modify Review link at the top, then select OK.
  4. From the Review Date Range section, select the date range of transactions you want to review.
  5. In the Review Basis section, choose Accrual or Cash.
  6. Select Modify Review.
  7. In the Account Balances section, find Reclassify Transactions.  From the Status drop-down arrow, select In Progress.
  8. Click the Close button.

Once completed, you can refer to this article to see additional steps to be taken to complete the process: Accountant tools: Reclassify your client’s transactions.

In case you need steps on how you can deliver statements to your customers to show them summaries of their invoices, payments, credits, and balances, you can read this article: Create and send customer statements in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you have any additional queries about the review period or any QuickBooks-related concerns. It'll be my pleasure to help you out once again, DJ0624. Take care and have a great day!
