Hello there, Marcus. I've got the information you need.
Let me share information regarding the Point of Sale 19.0 before anything else. It's the last version of QuickBooks that was about to be discontinued. This product was advertised to switch over to Shopify, a third-party app integrated.
On the other hand, you can sync QuickBooks Desktop 2024 with Point of Sale. While it is possible to do so, please know that patches and new service updates may not be available. You can visit this article for more information: Discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
To have a smooth syncing process between both programs, it's recommended to review the current desktop setup and ensure it meets all the requirements the POS program needs.
- Hover to Edit menu, choose Preferences.
- Choose Integrated Applications, then go to the Company Preferences tab.
- In the Applications Name column, click QuickBooks Point of Sale, then select Properties.
- In the Access Rights tab, click the option Allow this application to read and modify this company file.
- Select OK in the Properties window and the Preferences window.
