When you convert a sub-customer into a project, their existing transactions, such as invoices and payments will automatically sync,
@owner8. However, specific details like addresses, tax codes, and payment information won't transfer automatically to the new project setup. I'll explain this further.
As you turn your sub-customers into projects, existing transactions from QuickBooks will automatically sync to the project. To ensure that these non-syncing details are associated with the new project, you'll need to
manually assign or merge them.
Here's how to convert a sub-customer into a project:
1. Navigate to Projects.
2. Select the New project ▼ dropdown. Then, click Convert from sub-customer.

3. Choose the sub-customer you want to convert.
4. Click Convert, then select Continue to confirm.

Once you’ve completed the project setup, you can view the existing transactions by selecting the sub-customer you converted and navigating to the Transactions page.

After setting up of your project, consider
running project reports to help you track and maximize your project's profitability.
