Recovering Prior year information in quickbooks

Looking for information on if it is possible to recover information from Quickbooks if I no longer have a subscription.  And, if I need to renew my subscription will I be able to access the information?

Recovering Prior year information in quickbooks

I've got you covered, Amber. I have some information about recovering prior year information in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To begin with, if you cancel your QBO subscription, your data will be available in read-only access for 1 year from the date of cancellation.

Here are the data availability and export policies after cancellation within 1 year:

  • If you cancel during a free trial or if your trial expires, your data is available for 90 days.
  • If your credit card is declined, you have 14 days to update your billing information. During this time you have full access to QuickBooks Online. After that, your account is suspended and you will have to re-subscribe to access your data.
  • If you were subscribed to QuickBooks Online, you can export data to Excel or the desktop version of QuickBooks up to a year after you cancel.
  • If you were using a trial version, you must export within 90 days after you cancel.

For your reference, check this article: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?

Moreover, I'm adding this article as your reference if you want to resubscribe or reactivate your QBO account: Resubscribe to or reactivate QuickBooks Online.

If you have any concerns about recovering data or information, please tag me in the comment section, Amber. I'll assist you in any way possible.
