Sending sales order via email to multiple emails without having to type each one. Is there a way to pull from the contact list for that customer?

Thanks for reaching out to us, @Maverick95.

In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), only the main and CC email will auto-populate when sending a sales order. As long as you've set them up in the customer's profile, you don't have to manually enter them. Here's how:

  1. Go to Customers and click Customer Center.
  2. Double-click the customer's name.
  3. Enter the customer's emails in the Main Email and CC Email fields.
  4. Click OK.

Currently, we're unable to pull up more than two emails from a customer's contact list and auto-populate them when sending a sales form in QBDT. As a workaround, you can manually enter them by separating each email with a comma and space.

While this feature is unavailable, I recommend sharing your feedback with our software engineers. This way, they can review your suggestion and may consider including it in our future product updates.

Furthermore, you can customize sales forms in QBDT to control how they look and what information they contain when sending them to your customers.

Keep in touch if you have other concerns about emailing sales orders. I'll be happy to provide further information. Stay safe.

As I remember (but didn't just try it), if you list the email addresses on the customer record in the Main email field, separated by commas, then they'll all be automatically added to the outgoing email.

Thank you for your reply. We currently use Fishbowl and they allow us to have a drop-down option to pick the email we want to send to from the contacts we have set up.  This way we are not limited to who we send sales orders or PO's to and do not have to manually type them in.  I have submitted this to the engineering as well.

Thank you for your reply.  We currently use Fishbowl for inventory, and they have a drop-down menu to pick from our contacts set up so that we are not limited to a few or have to manually type the email address.  I have submitted this to engineering as well.
