Viewing Transactions That Don't Have Tags

To begin with, let's consider logging in to your Community profile using a private browser. To use a private or incognito browser, here's how:

• Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: Command + Option + P
• Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

If this works, it means you need to clear your browser's cache so the system can start fresh and you're now able to mark this post as solved. But if you get the same result while using a private browser, let's switch to different supported browsers instead.

I have two groups for tags.  The solution here seems to only show if a transaction has been tagged, it doesn't matter to what group.  Is there a way to be more specific on things that have not been tagged to a group?

This does not answer the question for transactions which do not appear on profit and loss. Transaction List by Tag Group Report does not have the customize option to filter by unspecified tag.

I just volunteered to help a local non-profit that supports refugees coming to our town. They have Quickbooks Online (Simple Start - they have about 60 transactions per month and a very tight budget). They needed to track costs by refugee family supported. In this most basic Simple Start version, the only way I could see to do that was with Tags. Every expense gets one tag, so that we can run a P&L by Tag report. I tested it and it seemed to work.
Now I've gone through every transaction for 2024, correcting wrong categories and adding tags. I have two problems.
First, there is a $2.99 difference between the overall P&L, and the P&L by Tag. So I must have missed a transaction. I saw your solution above, and when I tried it that led to my second problem.
When I go to Reports - Profit and Loss by Tag Group, it says "This report does not contain any data". So I can't try your solution. However, when I go to Settings-Tags, select a Tag Group and run report, I get exactly what I want - the P&L with one column for each Tag in the group.
Could you please help me figure this out? Many thanks!

Targets and sources can be the main reason why Profit and Loss and Profit and loss by tags show different totals. Data in your P&L report shows general data, unlike the data you have in the P&L by Tags that are specified. Also, when customizing the Profit and Loss by Tag Group report, you'll want to ensure correct filters are added. It includes the reporting period, the accounting method, and other fields.
