Where we can get the back up setting in Quick book data ?

Let me share some information about data backup in QuickBooks Online (QBO), tanya.

QBO versions have an automatic backup feature since it's a cloud-based subscription. This procedure is performed every night. Saving a backup copy of your file and restoring your data, on the other hand, is not possible. Look for a third-party app that can back up QuickBooks Online. This continuous backup is provided by apps available in the QuickBooks App Store.

Alternatively, you can save a copy of your data on your computer by exporting your reports and lists. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your account as an admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon from the toolbar.
  3. Under Tools, select Export Data.
  4. On the Reports tab, set the date range.
  5. Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by toggling the slider.
  6. Click on Export to Excel

From there, you can download the data entered into your file to your local hard drive. I'm adding this material for the detailed instructions: Export data, reports, lists, and more from QuickBooks Online.

Get back to me if there's anything else you need help with. I'm always around to answer whenever you have follow-up questions. You have a good one.

I tried to export the entire data from Quick Books Online by following the steps suggested by you. Then I tried to import that data into Quick Books Desktop version. But it seems that there are some missing data as the QBO and QB Desktop reports do not match.

My requirement is to condense the data.

@manoj_firms

Consider to purchase a 3rd party conversion service and compare the result.

Thank you for joining this thread, manoj_firms. Let me provide you with the steps to have your reports match.

QuickBooks and QuickBooks Desktop reports may be mismatched because of export limitations and the use of unsupported versions of Internet Explorer.

  1. On QuickBooks Desktop, go to File and click Close company.
  2. Go back and try to convert your file again. Sometimes, converting a second time can fix this problem.
  3. After it finishes, recheck the Profit and Loss report. If they still don't match, enter manual adjustment to fix the issue.

If you have other concerns regarding importing data to QuickBooks Desktop, please don't hesitate to post here in the Community space. Stay safe!
