I filed 1099s for two separate companies from one QBO program (the separate companies are displayed as divisions).  To do this I select each vendor in one company for filing 1099-NEC and after filing I uncheck the 1099 box and select the vendors in the second company for filing 1099-NEC.       What I need is to "see" what was filed with the IRS to confirm that the filing was correct.  How can I see what was filed with the IRS through the QBO filing it for me?

We appreciate you for joining us here in the thread, @Navy Dave. Let me provide insights on where to see the filed 1099 in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

After filing a 1099, you can access your taxes to view a copy. I'll show you how:

  1. In your QuickBooks, go to Taxes.
  2. Click 1099 filings.
  3. If done, select View 1099 to see a PDF copy.

You may also click this link for additional guidance with managing 1099 inside QBO: Create and file 1099s with QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, use this article to assist you when you make changes to the 1099 you filed in QBO: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.

Don't hesitate to reply on this thread for any follow-up with 1099 in QBO. I'm here to help you anytime. Keep safe!
