SUMMER SAVINGS 90% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months* Ends June 27
Buy nowHello Beautiful quickbooks community!
Had two employees decide to take out a loan against their 401(k).
Followed the instructions here on the community page to set up
the loan repayment.
It does show up in the employee pay window, as a deduction.
But now, can't seem to find a report that shows
a balance due, nor is it showing up in the pay liabilities window.
Previously had set up an employee advance repayment report, and
it shows the balance just fine, but that report doesn't seem to allow
accessibility to the 401k loan repayment payroll item.
Any and all advice would be appreciated!
We have no direct reports specifically designed to show the remaining balance of 401(k) loan repayments for employees, @Rochelle_. However, I can provide you with alternatives to monitor and track the employee's repayments.
In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can generate a Payroll Summary report that shows a detailed information about payroll transactions for each employee, including deductions and repayments. Here's how:
This will show you the list of repayments for employees based on the payroll items and filters you have set.
Additionally, we have partnered with Guideline to offer you affordable, fully integrated 401(k) plans in QBDT Payroll. You can choose the plan that works seamlessly for your business and your team, and set it up with QuickBooks.
Furthermore, you can save the customization settings of your report for future use. Check out this article: Create, access, and modify memorized reports.
The QuickBooks Community is always here to back you up if you need more assistance with managing your employee loans or payroll tasks in general. Keep safe always.
Thank you for your reply!
That report still doesn't show the declining balance.
The reason this is important is quickbooks often goes
past the "limit" set, & there needs to be a "checks & balances"
to know when the repayment is getting close to the end.
Thank you so much!
