One-Time Report – Historical 2023 Overtime Data:
When will I be able to see the reportst that QB will send to the state of Alabama?
Will I have time to review and repair before QB submits the reports to the state of Alabama.
If you ARE a Bulk Filer: You will input the data utilizing the current bulk file for the A-6 and A-1 return by adding two new required text fields. *For layout instructions, please click on the following link:
I was told the desktop version has a report" Payroll Item Detail Report" that shows desktop users the exempt overtime. Is there a report like this for QB online users? Seeing this report would make me more confident that the information quickbook reports to the state is corrrect
thanks

Good morning, @LDO.
It's great to see you back in the Community!
If you're looking for a report that's close to the "Payroll Item Detail" report in QBDT, I recommend using the Payroll Details or Payroll Item List. After running these reports, you can customize them to your liking.
We also have this guide that can give you additional details about the Alabama overtime exemption.
@LDO.
Let us know how the information looks on your side when reviewing these reports and the guide listed above. I'll be waiting for your response!
Candice,
That is not correct for online users.
Currently QB online payroll user's detail report does not display AL OT exempt. I understand that the QB desktop version's report does reflect AL OT exempt ,but currently the online users report does not. I talked with a QB phone agent this morning and QB is planning to fix the detail and summary reports for online users. They are also planning to fix the employees paystubs. From what I understand neither the online users or desktop users pay stubs correctly show the AL OT exempt.
The only form that online users currently have is the "Payroll tax and wage summary" Go to Reports> Payroll Tax and wage summary> AL Exempt Overtime Income.
Lets hope that QB managment fixes this issue soon.
The big question is about the 2023 historical report that is required by the state of ALABAMA
I was told by a QB Phone agent this morning that QB has no plans to file the Historical report.
I was told by a QB Phone agent that we must file this report on our own.
QuickBooks has less than a week until the 1-31-24 due date. Maybe they will get this fixed soon>
re: 2023 historical Alabama overtime exemption will not be filed with W2s
This is due tomorrow!
What are we supposed to do?????
Thanks
