Bonus to Commission

Is there any way to change an employee's past, already paid bonus, on their paycheck to actually reflect as a Commission?

Bonus to Commission

Hello there, @ALM7.

I'm here to ensure you'll get assistance to correct the payment type of your employee's paycheck to maintain accurate tax computation and avoid related discrepancies.

If you're using paper checks with your paycheck, you can delete and recreate the entry. However, you'll need to void it if you're using a Direct Deposit, which doesn't stop the direct deposit processing and return any funds.

As you've already paid your employees, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team since bonuses can affect your taxes. They have all the tools to access your account securely and create all the necessary corrections. Let me guide you on how.

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online Company.
  2. Click on Help(?), then Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then choose Let's talk.
  4. Choose your preferred way to connect with our support:
  • Start a chat with an expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

Please refer to our support hours to connect with them accordingly.

Moreover, you might want to review this article for guidance about running a report for an overview of your business' finances: Run payroll reports.
