Can I edit classes on weekly timesheets after payroll is run?

I am wondering if I can go back and edit weekly timesheets (only the class portion) after I have run payroll using those timesheets.

Yes, you can edit the time records at any point.  Any "time" you want. :)

Editing the Timesheets will not affect your Financial data; that is the Paycheck Details, not the Timesheet. Timesheet = Task Tracking. Paycheck = Money happened.

Can I edit classes on weekly timesheets after payroll is run?

I know this thread is over a year old, but HOW? How do I edit class after its been imported from QBT? When I go into the timesheet, I do not see what class it is. I can only see it on a report... Can't figure out how to edit it.

Thanks for joining the thread, @SBrown001.

As I've checked, the class option is unavailable in the Timesheet window in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). This is the reason why you're unable to edit it after importing from QuickBooks Time.

You can edit it directly from QuickBooks Time. Although, you'll have to contact QB Time Support so they can unlock and update it. They can also provide you further help in applying the changes in QBDT.

I can see how important it is for your business to have this feature in QBDT, therefore I'll take note of this suggestion. Moreover, you can personally send feedback to our developers. This way, we can develop our product and improve our services.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu and select Send Feedback Online.
  2. Choose Product Suggestion, then enter the details of your concern.
  3. Select Send Feedback and click Close Window.
