Can I just add contractors under payroll and still activate the payroll add-on option since we have no employees yet?

Owners will not take a salary until the company is stable but we have many contractors that do work for us and need to be paid.

Thanks for getting back to us, daye-steadytakep.

Let's try running some troubleshooting steps to determine why you keep getting resubscribe message.

There are times that an issue like this occurs when you encounter browser-related issues. To start with, let's log in to your account on a private window. This is the best place to identify any browser-related concerns.

You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open one:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

If it works, you can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. A piled cache can also trigger some unexpected behavior on the opened pages.

You also have the option to switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.

If the error persists, I'd recommend reaching out to our Phone Support team so they can check your account and verify your billing status. Here's how:

  1. From the ? Help icon, click Contact Us.
  2. Enter I keep getting resubscribe message.
  3. Click Let's talk.
  4. Select either ChatSchedule a call, or Get a call.

Unless your company is a Subchapter S or C corporation, owners NEVER are on payroll so be careful down the road.

There is nothing stopping you from paying contractors WITHOUT payroll and the ONLY advantage to paying contractors if subscribed t payroll is direct deposit. Sounds like you are just starting out - BUY SOME PAPER CHECKS. It is that simple

We are. This is a reformation of a company with over 700 contractors that we deal with so paper checks are not the answer. Direct deposit is. I entered my contractors and sent them an invite but my subscription just keeps saying I need to resubscribe.
