Can I use QBO as a time clock from one terminal at the shop? Want employees to punch in/out from one central location.

You'll want to consider setting up your QuickBooks Time account in your QuickBooks Online. This way, you'll be able to utilize a time tracker inside QuickBooks.

Once you're ready to launch your QB Time account, here's how:

1. In QuickBooks Online, go to Apps.
2. Search for “QuickBooks Time” and select Launch.
3. Choose if you’d like QuickBooks Time Premium or Elite, then add it to your subscription now, or start a 30-day free trial.
4. Go to the Time tab, and then Launch QuickBooks Time to begin the setup.

You can only use QBO to manually register time tracking data. You need a time tracking app like QB Time or a third party app to do this, then integrate it with QBO. One of the 3rd party apps offers a free plan to manage up to 10 employees.
