I need to change an employee's address but Quickbooks won't let me. I'm unable to even click on the Address & Contact tab. Even logged in as the administrator, I can't open this tab. What's going on? Chat has been unavailable for the last few days. So frustrating!
I was able to finally change it but had to use the keyboard shortcut keys to open the address & contact tab. So weird!
I've never heard of an issue clicking on the various tabs on an employee record in QB Enterprise. There's no case where this is restricted - that I know of.
You mean these tabs, right?
Yes, those tabs. I can click on any of the tabs other than the Address & Contact and the Personal one. It opens on the Personal but once I click on another tab I can't go back. I've never had an issue before but that last two days. Figured out a work around by using keyboard shortcuts but curious as to why there's an issue.
We just noticed today we are having the same issue. The ALT+D shortcut works, but we also cannot click on the tab. That's the reason I jumped on here. We are running Enterprise Desktop 21 R8_67. The database is stored on our local server (Server 2012), and the desktop clients are all running the latest version of Windows 10. This is occurring on any computer. I even ran a services stop/start and also rebooted the server.

What was the keyboard short cut you used? Thanks I'm having the same problem.
Me too. I just noticed today and need to change some information on an employee. What is going on again with QB?
ALT+d. Anytime you see a line under a letter (such as the "e" in letter) in a description, it means you can hold down ALT & press that letter for the shortcut. This is true in most Windows-based programs.
Interesting information, my coworker can now click on it again. I've logged back out and back in and still cannot click on it.

Hello, Jeff in CO.
Let's ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop is updated to its latest release. This is to make sure that you have the latest features and fixes. See this update QuickBooks to the latest release article for more information.
If so, let's go ahead and launch the payroll setup. From there, you can update the employee address fields. Once, you'll be able to launch a Payroll setup and then create new employees.
If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They have tools to check this further.
Once they’ve identified the cause, our specialists will walk you through the steps to resolve the issue. Here’s how:
