Can you void a fringe benefit check without consequences? System has wrong amount

Did a fringe benefit check for s-corp shareholders.  Received a notice that company owed taxes.  Looked at the stubs and saw the s-corp medical insurance was listed and should not have been.  So wanted to delete entire check and redo.

Can you void a fringe benefit check without consequences? System has wrong amount

Greetings! Morgan.

You can edit a paycheck if you still need to send your payroll to us or void it and process it again. You can void paychecks if you already sent your payroll to us. Voiding a paycheck changes the dollar amount to zero. You may need to make adjustments to balance your books. Please note that voiding doesn't stop a direct deposit from processing and doesn't return funds to you.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select the Paycheck list.
  3. Select the paycheck you want to delete or void, then select Void.
  4. Select Yes.

Depending on your processing time and payroll service, you can void a paycheck for direct deposit pay types.

If you cannot make the change, a message will appear explaining the reason. I recommend contacting QuickBooks Payroll support for more assistance with your paycheck.

Please keep us updated about your concern about voiding a paycheck, Morgan. I'm always here to assist you.
