Colorado FAMLI payroll report Error message

Hello,

I have the Colorado FAMLI deduction set up and it has been deducting properly. I have run the report, PFML - Paid Family Medical Worksheet for 3 quarters with no issue. Now when I create the form and select the dates for Q4 2023, I get an error on the report and no data is pulled. The error says Invalid Start / End date. I have the latest payroll update.  What am I doing wrong?

Colorado FAMLI payroll report Error message

Hi Tina,

You may be experiencing some data-related issues. Let's perform some steps to fix the error message you received.

To begin with close all your windows. Then, start the verification steps. Here's how:

  1. Click the File menu
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Choose Verify Data

If you see a specific error message, you may search for it on our Help Articles page. However, if the system prompts you that your data has lost integrity, you may start rebuilding the file

Furthermore, you can check this article on how you can set up e-file and e-pay: Set up state e-file and e-pay.

Don't hesitate to mention my name whenever you have payroll concerns.

Colorado FAMLI payroll report Error message

Hi Adrian,

I did the Verify Data and there are no issues with the data. I did follow the link you shared and went to Employees, select Payroll Taxes and Liabilities, and select Edit Payment Due Dates/Methods. There wasn't a Filing Period listed so I updated that to quarterly and clicked Finish. The filing frequency didn't update in the File Forms QB Payroll window. I restarted QB and no change and the form still has no data.

  Any other ideas?

Colorado FAMLI payroll report Error message

I appreciate you getting back to us and trying the resolution with my colleague, TinaYH. I'm here to provide further information to fix the error when generating the FAMLI payroll report.

To create the Q4 2023 form, you should use the start date of January 1, 2023, and the end date of December 31, 2023. The system consolidates data from Q1 to Q4 when creating a form for the 4th quarter.

  1. Go to the Employees menu.
  2. In the Payroll tab, choose the File Forms section.
  3. Choose the correct form and enter the correct start and end date.
