Custom Roles

I am wanting to create a custom role to create a payroll clerk whose only duties will be to create employees for time and be able to send invites to employees.  I don't want to grant full Payroll Access, which would then piggy back in with Full Expense access.  This user shouldn't have access to see Pay Rates, Billing Rates, or anything other than creating time users.

 

Thoughts?

In QuickBooks Online, the option to create a custom role to create a payroll clerk with limited access without full access to customers and vendors. 

 

In this case, I encourage you to share your thoughts directly in the Feedback section within QuickBooks. That way, our QuickBooks Developer team can study further about this feature and may add it to future product updates. Your input will help us identify areas where improvements can be made.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Feedback.
  3. Type in your product suggestions, then click Next to submit feedback.

 

You can visit our QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website to track the status of your submitted feedback.
