To clear the notification for a specific task, you only need to archive the W-3/W-2s form. You can easily locate the forms that are showing as overdue. If you have the option to File now, you can click on it to archive the forms. This will clear reminders from showing on your end.

This is not good advice. I followed this suggestion after filing my 2025 w2s outside of Quickbooks. Clicking File Now gives QB the ability to efile the returns, essentially doing it twice.
