Do you track milage to and from work? Shopping trips for the business?

Welcome to the Community, Trisaratopsmccal.

Yes, QuickBooks Online (QBO) can help you track business mileage for tax deductions, including trips to and from work and shopping trips for the business. You can manually enter the details of your trips or use the mobile app to track mileage with the GPS on your phone automatically.

To manually track mileage:

  1. Go to the Expense tab
  2. Select Mileage.
  3. Click on Add Trip.
  4. Enter the details of your trip, including the date, starting point, destination, purpose, and total miles.

To automatically track mileage using the mobile app:

  1. Open the QuickBooks Online app on your mobile device.
  2. Go to the Mileage tab and enable auto-tracking.
  3. The app will automatically track your trips using GPS and log them for you.

Discover how to configure vehicles and track mileage in both QuickBooks Online and the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
