Good day, @Family School. I'm here to add some details about switching from QuickBooks Online back to QuickBooks Desktop.

When you want to move your data back to QuickBooks Desktop, you'll see differences in how your books appear. Like the following:

  • Features
  • Lists
  • Product and Services
  • Preferences
  • Reports
  • Transactions

To give you more insight on how your books move from QB Online to QB Desktop, Here's an article: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.

Once you've decided to move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop, you can follow the steps provided in the article given by Fiat Lux-Asia.

If you encounter errors when moving to QB Online, you can check out this article on how you can fix them and make the move experience as seamless as possible: Fix errors when you move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to get back to me if you need any further information or clarification on migrating your QuickBooks account. I'll be here and willing to assist you at any time. Have a beautiful day ahead!

I would highly recommend using a third-party app to conduct the transfer. In my experience, doing it manually can be cumbersome and not always fully accurate. You can find authorized third-party apps in the QB App Store at https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. I have personally used exportmybooks.com before and was pleased with the results https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/appdetails/exportmybooks/en-us?queryID=3e3041d10aa3f60af9442e... Yes, it's an added cost but one that's well worth it in my opinion.
