Get 50% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months*
Buy nowI recently switched from QB Desktop Pro Plus to Enterprise Desktop Gold. I am getting phone calls and emails that state my payroll subscription is due and I received an email today that my annual subscription to Desktop will be charged to my credit card on file. I tried calling Intuit about the payroll but was told there is a monthly fee for the payroll subscription. I was told the subscription was included, but there are fees for employee pay checks. This is so frustrating not to be able to know who I'm talking to and what the correct information really is.
Can someone help?

Switching versions of QuickBooks is a big task, and confusing billing alerts only make the process more challenging, @HHAINC2201. To clear things up, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Gold includes the Enhanced Payroll subscription, meaning you should only be charged the standard per-employee fees and never a separate base subscription fee.
These per-employee fees are billed monthly for the prior month’s usage based on the number of unique employees you pay. For more information, see this article: Understanding Changes to Your Per-Employee Fees.
The Community and I are always here to help ensure any confusion you have is clarified, so please don't hesitate to reach out.
Can I disregard the email that my payroll subscription will be renewed and that Desktop Plus will be renewed? The emails state it is an automatic renewal with the card on file. Can they be removed from my account? I could not find how to remove the subscriptions.
Hello, HHAINC2201. You will only receive an email regarding the renewal of your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) subscription if your account is active.
To check your account status, please log in to CAMPs. You can expect to receive renewal notifications 30 to 45 days before your annual renewal date. These emails will include details about any fee adjustments or changes to your subscription.
If your account is already inactive and you still receive an email about the renewal, I recommend contacting our live support team again. Your situation requires a real-time review, and they have the necessary tools to determine the cause of the issue.
Please follow these steps:
