I have an employee that had repairs on his personal car that the company paid for. How do I set up a repayment of this vendor from the employee payroll?

Employee loan

Hey there, @KathyP1964

It's great to see you back in the Community!

For the details you provide, you'll need to record an employee advance. This means to pay an advance to your employees in QuickBooks Desktop. Afterwards, you can repay the advance through payroll by setting up an advance repayment payroll item and then creating a paycheck with the repayment payroll item.

Review this guide for additional information and steps on how to perform these actions: Set up and repay employee advances

This should do the trick. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Have a wonderful day!
