Employee pay adjustment history report

Hi there, Bemis.

To run an Employee Pay Adjustment History report for only active employees in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll, follow the steps below:

1. Open QuickBooks Desktop and go to your company file.
2. Click on Reports in the top menu bar.
3. Navigate to Employees & Payroll reports, then select Employee Pay Adjustment History report.
4. Once the report opens, click on Customize Report at the top of the report window.
5. In the Customize Report window, go to the Filters tab.
6. In the filter options, find and select Employment status from the list, then set employments status to Active to show only active employees.
7. Click OK to apply the filer and update the report.

Moreover, I'll share this article which can serve as your reference if you want the same settings of the customized reports to be available for future use: Create, access, and modify memorized reports.

Visit us again if you have other concerns with running reports in QBDT. We'll be here to help.

Employee pay adjustment history report

In the filters option I do NOT find an Employee Status choice. Is there another way of getting this information?

Thank you for your time and attention.

Yes, there is a way of viewing this information, BemisGin. I have the updated steps to run the Employee Pay Adjustment History report for only active employees.

We can pull up the report and filter the Name section. From there, select the active employees. For the detailed guidance, please see the steps below:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. From the Employees & Payroll section, select Employee Pay Adjustment History.

I am using QB desktop and have full access, but do not have this report as an option. How do I set it up?

Employee pay adjustment history report

We appreciate your efforts in tracking pay adjustments to your employees, TAdmin2025. The Employee Pay Adjustments History report is only available in the United States Quickbooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll versions.

If you're utilizing a QBDT version for other regions, this is why you can't access the report despite having full access to QBDT Payroll. As a workaround, you can run a Payroll Summary Report and filter it to see the adjustments.

Here's how:

  1. Run the Payroll Summary report and click Customize Report.
  2. Go to the Filters tab, then select the Is Adjustment option (Note: You can use the Search Filters to find it more easily).
  3. Choose the Yes radial button to show only adjustments.
  4. Hit OK to see the report.

Moreover, to know more about payroll reports you can generate and customize in QBDT Payroll, you can reference this article: Run payroll reports.

Furthermore, I'll include this guide to help you save all the customizations made on your reports for future reference: Memorize reports in QBDT.

Should you need further assistance managing employee adjustment history in QBDT or have any other questions about the program's features, this forum is open 24/7. Have a great day ahead, and stay safe!
