Employee PTO

Hello, with the new version of "View my Paycheck" there is no option for the employee to see their current PTO balance; or are we missing it somewhere?  If this is not an option it needs to be.

Thank you,

Jennifer

Hello there, BUGadmin.

Thanks for pointing this out and sharing your thoughts with us.

The option for employees to see their current Paid Time Off (PTO) balance is currently unavailable.

It's our priority to provide products and services that suits your business needs. We'll make sure to take note of this and will inform you through this thread once we receive product enhancement update about the availability of this feature.

Just in case you want to know more about the new QuickBooks Workforce, feel free to check out this article: QuickBooks Workforce.

You may also want to check for the latest QuickBooks feature updates through our QuickBooks Blog: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/.

Let me know if you have follow-up questions about this, I'd be delighted to answer them for you.

I think that means the pay-stub is out of compliance - not legal - and so customers should have to provide paper stubs until Intuit fixes this.

It's been more than a month so far, waiting.

I would hope that the new offering either inherits the user's QB pay stub print settings or lets the user choose all of the same settings within the app.  If not, then the resulting stubs will not be locally compliant as is required by various states and other agencies.

PTO hours not showing in view my paycheck. Quickbooks needs to fix this right away. What is being done?

Hi, @SueH814.

Allow me to step in and help provide some additional update about the Paid Time Off (PTO).

I understand the importance of being able to see the balance of Paid Time on the webpage. Currently, this is an on-going product enhancement in QuickBooks Workforce. Our engineers are currently investigating and working on an immediate fix.

For the meantime, I have a workaround for you to try so you'll be able to view this information on your end. You have the option to Download the payslip, so you can now view the YTD and the available credits/accruals.

I also suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team to add your account to the list of affected users. This way, you’ll be notified of any updates on the progress of the investigation via email.

Here's how to contact our customer support:

  1. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help from the Help menu.
  2. You can also press F1 on your keyboard to bring up the same Help Panel.
  3. In order to route you to the correct support expert, we need to know what type of question you have.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. We’ll provide you a few options. You choose which one is best for you.

You may also visit the QuickBooks Blog website to stay updated with the latest QuickBooks news and updates.

For additional reference, you can check this article: QuickBooks Workforce: Company View

I appreciate your patience as we work through this. Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you have any other questions about the PTO. I'm always here to help.

Not helpful at all.  No (logical) reason or answer given why it's not included in ViewMyPaycheck, other than to say it's being developed/enhanced for the QB Workforce.  NO body wants to download each payslip to see each transaction for PTO activity.  It's 2019, why would you take a useful feature away from something important to employees?

  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Type in a short brief about your concern.

Since April?  You know, no one really thinks they've been working on in since April.  If they had been, it'd be fixed by now.  Time to admin it's not a priority for Intuit to create compliant pay stubs.

Welcome everyone to the 1-year anniversary of "working on an immediate fix".

I'm trying to audit my PTO accrual and usage and I'm going to have to download over fifty paycheck reports to do it at all. This is a downgrade from paycheckrecords, which you acquired. I am sad.
