Employer State Unemployment Corrections

When entering new employee's in the payroll info a state was not selected on the taxes tab.  I corrected the error for all employees and re-ran the report, but the RT-6 is not calculating the change.  How do I get this corrected at the employee detail level and on the RT-6 for the 3rd qtr?

I’m here to help you with your RT-6 report, @rgonzalez2.

 

First, make sure that the following has been set-up correctly:

  • State taxes set up for the employee in the Employee Profile
  • Verify the SUI rate in QuickBooks Desktop
  • Determine whether the employee reached the SUI wage base limit
  • Verify the setup for payroll items used on the employee's paycheck

Once done, you can now delete the paycheck and re-create it. Check this article for more information: Fix incorrect state unemployment (SUI) or withholding (SIT).
