It's a pleasure to have you in the Community today. I'll gladly help you get through this to successfully import all your transactions or government payments into your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Know that as I checked here in my resources, currently, there are no reported issues regarding importing files or government payments to QuickBooks Desktop Mac versions. You can export your federal payment again and ensure the file is not empty. You'll then import them into your QB for Mac Desktop.
Once you've got your file ready, follow these steps to import:
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Desktop.
- Go to File, then Utilities.
- Select Import, then Import IIF.
- Select the IIF file you want to import, then select Open. Check your downloads folder to locate the .IIF file.
- Select OK.
You can visit this page to know more about the process so you can successfully get your data into your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac: Export your payroll data into QuickBooks.
