Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @9130 3510 8977 9656. Setting up your payroll account in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is my priority. This way, you can start running payroll and pay employees accordingly.
An RT Account No. is your company's state tax account number. You can either find it on any of your previously submitted tax forms (if you've filed state payroll tax returns in the past) or contact your state agency to verify.
When you have your RT account number, enter it by following these steps:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Choose Payroll settings.
- Under the Taxes section, select State Taxes - [State].

- Enter your state account number.
- Select OK.

Once you're done, you can also update your State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rate in QuickBooks. This way, you can keep your SUI tax liability accurate. You can check out this article for your reference: Enter or change state unemployment insurance (SUI) tax rates.
In keeping with this, I'm also adding these how-to videos in getting started and a step-by-step guide in running your business using QBO: Learn about QuickBooks Online with how-to videos.
Please keep me posted on how it goes. Let me know in the comments if you have other payroll concerns and state taxes questions in QBO. I'm always around to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @9130 3510 8977 9656.
