FORM 943

The 943 form is unavailable in QuickBooks Online, ExpertSolutions.

You'll want to download the form from the IRS website and then run the Tax Liability Report in QuickBooks.

To get the report:

1. Click Taxes, and then Payroll Tax.
2. Click View your Tax Liability Report.
3. Change the Date Range.
4. Click Run Report.

When will QB start offering that option? Seems pretty silly that they don't (and extra work for their clients).

Why does QBO not support 943?

As of June 21, 2022, all new U.S. users of QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, Premium, and Elite, both in the standalone version and with accounting turned on, have the option to select IRS Form 943 as their Federal payroll tax form when setting up payroll!   

How we support Form 943: 

• If you use QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, Premium, or Elite
  • If you signed up on or after June 21, 2022, this form is available and supported. 
  •  If you signed up before June 21, 2022, we don’t support Form 943.
  • We don’t support filing both a 943 and a 941 or 944. We can only file one federal tax form per business.  
  • We also don’t support non-cash/commodity wage reporting on the 943. 
• If you use QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced, you can get the form in your product and file it manually with the IRS. 
• If you use QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted, we don’t support Form 943.

Couldnt agree more!  Desktop offers it but not the more expensive Online version.  I don't get it.
