Thanks for visiting the Community today. I've got you the steps to import the chart of accounts. 

You may check out this link to download and install the .IIF import kit to guide you in creating and working with your files.

Before you import, please make sure to back up your company file. Then, follow below: 

1. Sign in to your company file as an admin, then go to the File menu.
2. Select Utilities.
3. Choose Import, then select Import IIF.
4. Select the IIF file you want to import, then select Open.
5. Select OK to confirm the import.

 into a .IIF file successfully. 

In case you'll encounter the error File not imported, QuickBooks gives you the option to review and resolve the errors found in the .IIF file. To do this, let me provide you the steps below: 

1. Select Review now.
2. Look for ERROR to see what the problem(s) with the file is.
3. Correct the errors and Save. If asked if you want to keep the file type, select Yes.
4. Close the File not imported window.
5. Import the new, corrected .IIF file.
