How can I access 2018 1099 forms that were filed through Quick Books efile?

I’m happy to see you here in the Online Community, midastouchgolden.

I’ll be your guide, so you’re able to access the e-filed 1099 for 2018. Let me walk you through the steps.

The first thing is to log in to this website: iop.intuit.com\1099\login. Then, enter your login information.

Once you’re able to get in to your account, click on View past forms to see the returns. I'm also attaching a link for more insights about the 1099 E-File Service.

That should point you in the right direction.

Be sure to let me know if  I can be of further assistance in the comment section. I'm always ready to help. Have a great rest of your day!

How can I access 2018 1099 forms that were filed through Quick Books efile?

Hi - This is really helpful. How can I also obtain a copy of the 1096? Or is there not one because QB is a third party filer?

I'd make sure you'll be able to get your last year's 1096 copy, VFAKathy.

You can also get your last year's copy for the 1096 form by following the same steps you've performed in getting your 1099 form. Just sign in to the Intuit 1099 login website and follow the steps provided by my colleague @Rasa-LilaM above.

Please feel free to get back to me if you need anything else. I'd be glad to help you anytime.

Hello there, VFAKathy.

Thanks for getting back. I can help you get a copy of your 1096  in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can get a copy of last year's 1096 the same way you prepare your 1099 form in QBO. You'll have to go through the 1099 Wizard process to get a copy of it. Let me show you how to prepare and print it.

Here's how:

  1. Click Workers from the left menu.
  2. Select Contractors.
  3. Click Prepare 1099s.
  4. If you're done preparing 1099 before, just click Continue 1099s.
  5. From the Review your contractors' info tab, click Next.
  6. Click Finish Preparing 1099s.
  7. Click I'll file myself.
  8. From the Select a form type and print a sample, choose 1096.
  9. If the form needs to be aligned, select No, it doesn't line up and select Next. Then re-select.
  10. If you think it's correct, click Yes, looks good!.
  11. Click Print on a 1096 form and click Print.

There you have it. You should now be have the copy of your 1096 form. If you have additional questions about this, feel free to let me know. I'd be delighted to help.
