How can i print a 1099 summary

Here's how you can print the 1099 summary:

1. On the left panel click Expenses, and select Vendors.
2. Click the Prepare 1099s drop-down menu.
3. Click the Continue your 1099s button.
4. On the Review your company info page, click Next.
5. Choose the boxes to categorize your contractors payments, and click Next.
6. Review your contractors' information, and click Next.
7. From the Check that the payments add up page, click Finish preparing 1099s.
8. Under Your 1099s are ready. How would you like to file?, select the I'll file myself button.
9. Choose 1099 and click Yes, looks good!.
10. Under Select a form type and print, choose Summary and click the Print Summary button.

What if I just need to print the Summary report?  I don't want the 1099's generated in Quickbooks.  Is this possible?

To do so, you can simply run a 1099 vendor report. Here's how:

1. In your QBO account, navigate to the Business overview and select Reports.
2. Then, type Vendor Contact List in the search field. 
3. Once opened, click Customize.
4. Next, under Rows/Columns choose Change columns.
5. Check the Track 1099 box.
6. Then, select Run Report.

To print this, simply select the Print icon located at the upper right part of the report.

1. Go to Business overview, then select Reports (Take me there), or go to Reports (Take me there).
2. Search for 1099 Transaction Detail Report, 1099 Contractor Balance Detail, or 1099 Contractor Balance Summary.

None of those report produces vendors who have the 1099 box checked. 

In QB desktop, I used to be able to print that report very easy, and with vendor totals. 

I have looked and looked for a way to get the report I need to submit to my accountant.

We can run the a Vendor Contact List Report to show this data in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how:

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. Enter Vendor Contact List in the search field.
3. Once opened, click Customize.
4. Under Rows/Columns, click Change columns.
5. Check the Track 1099 box and select Run Report.

You can also customize this report to get a better view of your business.

I agree with you. There is no way to get a list of the 1099 box checked with the total paid to them last year. What happened to this report. QBO - if you have changed and now are preventing us from getting that data, just say it. But is that is correct WHY.

Once again, QB Desktop produces the 1099 Vendor Summary report very easily, so we can work on getting the 1099's produced.

QB Online pretends that a Vendor Detail Report of all Vendors is just as good. Then obfuscate the question with answers unrelated to the question.

Now, how can we get this as a SINGLE SUMMARY LINE PER VENDOR?

We understand the importance of pulling up a proper report for the 1099 Vendor Summary and Single Summary Line per Vendor report in QuickBooks Online. However, this option isn't currently available in QuickBooks Online. You can also achieve this by running a customized 1099 Transaction Detail report plus another report and combining them using Excel.

While this option isn't currently available, I recommend sending direct feedback to our product engineers to add your vote about this featured report.

3. Select Next to send it.
