Let me share details on setting up the invoice payment terms in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In QBO, you can create your term by clicking the + Add new and then personalizing your term for your invoice. I suggest creating two different terms for each goal you want to achieve in your invoices: One for the net pay that will be due on the 10th day of next month and one with the terms that will be due on the 10th month of the following month.
Here's a guide to setting a new term for your invoice:

Let me know if you have more concerns about payment periods and due dates associated with invoices in QBO. Take care and have a good one!
Irene, thanks for the response. However, I don't think you read my question before making your copy/paste reply. I know how to set up payment terms.
What I need is to be able to set the terms so that the due date is 10th day of the following month, but only if the invoice date is before the 25th of the current month. If the invoice date is after the 25th, it would be due the month after.
Example:
Invoice date: 03/20/2024 would be due on 04/10/2024
Invoice date: 03/27/2024 would be due on 05/10/2024
Hello there, @wpharper3.
I can see how beneficial it is to you to be able to set the desired terms in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
At this time, the option to set the terms that can be due after & before a certain date is unavailable in QBO.
Please know that our developers are working towards improving our product for the benefit of its users. With this, I'd suggest sending feedback to our engineering team so they can consider adding this feature in future updates.
Here's how:
Alternatively, you can search for a more suitable invoice management app that suits your business needs. I'd recommend visiting our App Center website to look for specific software that you can integrate with QBO.
Lastly, I've added an article that you can browse through for you to be able to send reminders to customers when your invoices are soon to be overdue: Send invoice reminders automatically or manually in QuickBooks Online.
If you still have further queries managing invoices or anything else about QuickBooks, feel free to let me know. I'd be glad to assist you at any time. Stay safe.
Wow, it's surprising that QB employees don't know how to use QB Online. Yes, you can set this up. Go to Settings > All lists > Terms > New. Create a name for it and click the button next to 'Due by certain day of the month' > enter 10 next to 'day of month' and 15 next to 'days of due date'. That will create a due date of the 10th of the following month as long as the invoice date is more than 15 days prior to the 10th of the following month. If it's less than 15 days, it will move it to the 10th of the following month.
Thanks for taking the time to reply!!
I actually tried this already. It works for any invoice dates between the 1st and the 10th. However, it doesn't work for any invoices between the 26th and end of the month.
For example, an invoice date of 4/1 would have a due date of 5/10, but an invoice date of 3/27 had a due date of 4/10(when it should be 5/10). Not sure if this is a bug or how QB intended it to be??

It works correctly for me but you need to set 'Due the next month if issued within' to 16 days for a 31-day month and 15 days for a 30-day month.
