Let’s open the Preferences page to specify the expense account for your worker’s payroll. I’m here to help and show you the steps.
Here’s how:
- In your company, head to the Gear icon in the upper right to select Payroll settings under Your Company.
- This action will take you to the Preferences page.
- Navigate to the Company and Account tab and go to the Preferences section to select the Accounting link.
- In the Wage Expense Accounts section, choose the correct option for how you wish to categorize the accounts.
- Click the Wage Account drop-down and pick the expense you want to use.
- Press the Reimbursement Account and choose the correct category type.
- Then select any of the following options:
*I use different accounts for different groups of employees
*I use different accounts for different wages. - Click OK to apply the changes.
