Hi there, Hilltopbuilder.

Let me make it up to you by ensuring you'll be able to add total business miles in QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE).

You can go to the Gear icon to add the total business miles driven for the entire year in QBSE. I'll show you how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.

2. Select Vehicle info under Taxes.

3. Choose your vehicle. Then, select the Tax year from the drop-down.

4. Under Tax info, click the radio button By entering the total miles driven.

5. Once done, click on Save.

I've also added these references for more information about Mileage:

How do i add total business miles

Hi there, @Hilltopbuilder.

I appreciate the steps you've performed to show the total business miles in QuickBooks. I'm here to help share some troubleshooting steps to add your business miles seamlessly.

Browser caches help speed up basic browsing that allows you to save more time when loading information. However, it can impact processes and cause unexpected behavior like adding the total business miles that doesn't show up after saving.

Let's start by accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

If it works, clear your browser's cache. You can also switch to a different supported browser as an alternative.

Otherwise, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Support team. This way, they can take a look at your case and raise a ticket for further investigation if needed.

Here's how:

  1. Click the (?) Help icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Dashboard.
  2. Select Talk to a Human.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern and press Enter.
  4. Click I still need a human.
  5. Select Contact Us to connect with our live support.
  6. Choose Get a callback.

Here's the contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support article for more information on how to reach them and their support hours.

Also, I'll be sharing these references for more information about vehicle deductions and mileage tracking:
