I'll provide information about adjusting worker's compensation in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Kkirk.
QuickBooks calculates the amount based on the entered rates and wages, then populates the Washington Worker's Compensation (WA WC) worksheet accordingly.
Since you want to make adjustments, you don't have to create a journal entry, as this won't affect the payroll. Thus, you'll have to contact our Payroll Support team to request an adjustment. Before doing so, you need to obtain the exact amount per quarter that Payroll is calculating and the amount that the WA WC's website is calculating. Then, here are the steps you can follow to talk with our payroll experts:
- Go to the Help menu, then select the Search tab.
- Click Contact Us.
- Enter a brief description of your concern and select Continue.
- Choose either Start a Chat or Get a Callback and start connecting with them.
