How do I call back a direct deposit made in error to an employee? I am past the two day option to void the paycheck.

You can contact our Payroll team so we can process a reversal, carlene1.

 

Once you've sent a direct deposit, the option to void it is unavailable. Our Phone Support team can do a reversal for this payroll. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Help menu.
  2. Click QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter Incorrect Direct Deposit as your keyword.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. From there, select either Start messaging  or Get a callback.

Just heads up, there's a fee of $75, whether the fund is recovered or not. The process will take up to 5 banking days. If the direct deposit is successful your bank account will be credited when the fund have been reversed form the employee's account. However, if it's not successful since your employee has still the net pay, the only way to get the money back is to work directly with the employee.
