How do I change a Quik Books account name for an employee?

Hello - I have an employee Lila who is our Church Administrative Coordinator (this sub-account falls under the Personnel). Each time I pay her it gets posted to Wages & Taxes. This sub account falls under Payroll.
 
Trying to get it to post correctly.
 
Would appreciate your help.

How do I change a Quik Books account name for an employee?

I can help you ensure your payroll is set up accordingly. This ensures payroll transactions are posted to the correct account every time you run payroll.

 

You'll want to check your Payroll settings and ensure that the Personnel account is used instead of Salaries and Wages. I'll show you how to do it:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll settings.
  2. Scroll down to the Accounting section.
  3. Click on the Edit pencil icon.
  4. Select the correct account.
  5. Click Continue, then Done.
