How do I find the transmitter control code for our 1099 filing?

Glad to see you here in the Community, @gretchen8.

The Transmitter Control Code (TCC) is an identifier that the IRS uses to distinguish different electronic filing companies. It's necessary when you need to file for a correction.

Getting a TCC depends on how you file your 1099 forms. If you use our 1099 e-service through QuickBooks Online (QBO) in completing the task. You can use Intuit's TCC in filing for a correction. To do this, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support team. They can securely pull up your account and provide the code.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Click Talk to a human.
  3. Type your concern.
  4. Click I still need a human.
  5. Select Contact Us.
  6. Choose either Messaging or Callback.

To ensure that you'll be assisted on time, check out our support hours.

In the meantime, I'm adding this article to learn more about 1099s: Common questions about 1099s. It answers the most frequently asked questions regarding the form and provides all the necessary related links.

You can add a comment below if you have other questions about 1099. I'll be around to help. Take care!
