Putting in historical payroll guarantees that future tax calculations and record keeping will be accurate, Zach.

If you haven't generated any paychecks yet, you can return to the Overview tab under the Payroll menu and put in previous payroll records.

I'd be glad to show you how:

  1. Go to Payroll menu and proceed to the Overview tab.
  2. Look for Add your payroll history.
  3. Click Start.

OMG, no way to add a payroll run to QBO premium w/o contacting support!!  It will take hours to get fixed.  I can enter an after the fact payroll in a matter of minutes in QBDT.

@dso0216

Yes, that's par for the course with Online Payroll. It is designed to be support intensive, requiring that you call for all sorts of things. You'll find many limitations, presumably designed to save you from yourself, which just stop you from doing what needs to be done. So, instead of being able to just change something or other that needs changing (like Desktop) you have to call and waste hours trying to get Intuit to do it.
