You can also use progress invoicing to create multiple invoices from a single estimate. Instead of asking for full payment at the beginning, you can invoice for partial payments throughout the project.

Hi usertheoeshop,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about finding the correct project in QuickBooks Online. Was it successful? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
I have the exact same question. To clarify within QBO, it is easy to filter to only show projects in progress, but the question is about QB-Time, not QBO.
In QB-Time, every project active, cancelled and completed shows up in the Timeclock selection. Yes I understand we can manually go into Manage clients and modify the Assigned to but that is super tedious when they should be linked / synced. If a project in QBO changes to Cancelled or Completed then QB Time should automatically unassign those projects from the employees.
Thanks for joining this thread, @BrianFES.
I see the importance of having projects automatically sync the changes you made in QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Time. However, we need to manually edit the Assigned to field by going to the Manage clients section.
Rest assured that our product engineers are continuously working on rolling out enhancements based on our customer's requests.
Moreover, let me attach this link to help you set up and use projects in QuickBooks Time. Establishing time estimates helps track the progress made on a project. You can also break your estimates down by individual tasks, or keep it simple with total hours.

This problem was fixed until recently. When choosing a customer to clock in under in QuickBooks Time, it is again showing all of the projects that are under that customer, instead of only "in progress" projects. I hope that this can be fixed again?
Helping you fix this unusual behavior is my priority, usertheoeshop.
The system should only generate in-progress projects when choosing a customer to clock in. Since all projects are showing on your end, we can perform a few steps to isolate this behavior. Here's how:
If the same thing happens, we can archive the completed projects. To do this, you can follow the steps below. Please keep in mind that deleting projects doesn't completely remove them from the system for backtracking purposes.
I've gathered a few articles for reference with tracking hours and managing your employee's timesheet:

I tried clearing the cache, it didn't work for me. I tried deleting a project and it seems to be gone completely. It doesn't show up in any of the 3 categories, in progress, completed or deleted. Maybe it helps to know that the problem is isn't for only one device, but for my PC, our kiosk tablet, and everyone's phone. Please advise
