How do I print the employee copies of w-2's on QB desktop using Enhanced Payroll? There is only the employers copy available.

I can assist you with printing out copies of your W-2 forms from QuickBooks. Just a few clicks and you'll be on your way.

To print W-2 forms using the self-print option:

1. Access the Payroll Tax Center
2. Choose Employees > Payroll Center.
3. Click the File Forms tab.
4. Select View/Print Forms & W-2s.
5. Enter your payroll PIN.
6. Pick the W-2 tab.
7. Select individual employee names from the list, or select the checkbox next to the title Employee to select all employees.
8. Open/Save Selected button.
9. If the Print Instructions window opens, select the reason for printing.

• I'm printing original employee W-2s if you are going to give the W-2 to the employee for the first time.
• I'm printing replacement employee W-2s for lost or damaged W-2s.
• I'm printing W-2s for my records if this a copy for your company records.

6. Based on your selection, a message about printing paper may appear.

• Note - Load the appropriate paper into your printer. If you do not have perforated paper(instructions on back), you can print the W-2 form on plain paper, but you must also provide the W-2 filing instructions to your employee. QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted uses 4-up paper (four horizontal W-2s per page).

7. An Adobe Reader file will open containing your W-2 selections.

8. Choose File > Print.

When I go into the Tax Center and click File Forms tab there is not an option to view/print forms. When I try the other option it only shows the employers copy.

I want to make sure that you will be able to print the w2 form copy, ccroofing10.  

I'd recommend downloading the latest payroll update in QuickBooks. Doing so will help you generate the current tax table. 

Let me guide you through on how to accomplish this: 

1. Go to the Employees menu.
2. Click Get Payroll Updates.
3. Select the Download Entire Update checkbox.
4. Hit Download Latest Update. A window pop up when the download is complete. 

Then, open the tax form after completing the update.

I have updated. But this hasn't changed anything the only w-2 available is the company copy. I need the employee's IRS w-2 copies for the employees.

The steps provided above from my colleagues are the best route to take when trying to print a W-2. I also see that you're stilling having trouble printing the form, so I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Team.  Here's how:

1. Open QuickBooks.

2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.

3. Click Contact Us.

4. Give a brief description of your issue, then pick Continue. 

5. We'll provide you with a few support options from which you can choose. 

They'll be able to visually walk you step-by-step on a screen share to help you with your issue.
