Join nowLet me share some overview of direct deposit, @MMOODY1101.
In creating a direct deposit, the information that records in every check is the details of the Employees bank account.
QuickBooks online payroll has a direct deposit workflow that you must approve the check before 5:00 PM PST 2 days prior to the check date.
If your employee has not received the funds by midnight of the settlement date, you can request a direct deposit trace. Since this is a public forum we can’t pull any payroll account, you can reach our customer support team for the request.
To reach them here's how:

I do hate to say this, but I have been on the phone 4 times and know one could answer my questions. The last gentleman I spoke with left me with this: Because Direct Deposit is part of my subscription, when payroll is run, it goes to QB, QB then (after the 1 or 2 day time period), pays my employees and takes the money from my payroll bank account. It would be great if you can confirm that. This way my bank is cut out of the process of paying my individual employees, and just pays QB the net amount.
Let me explain how QuickBooks Direct Deposit works, @MMOODY1101.
Yes, that's correct. To ensure your employees are paid on time, QuickBooks Online Payroll requires paychecks to be submitted to the system before 5:00 PST, 2 banking day prior to the check date.
For example, if you want your employees to receive their paycheck on Friday, then you need to run your payroll on Wednesday before 5:00 PM PST. Intuit will debit the employer's bank account on Thursday and credit it on the employee's bank account on Friday before 5:00 PM PST.
You can check this article for detailed information in running your payroll: How to create, run, or process payroll.
