Hi there, blr8888. Allow me to guide you through the process of assisting your contractors in finding their 1099 forms.
To begin with, when you e-file 1099s, contractors should receive an email when their forms are ready for download. Only contractors with email addresses in their profiles can be notified, so ensure that all email addresses are correct.
In addition, we'll mail 1099 forms to your contractors' addresses. If a contractor hasn't received their 1099 form within 7 business days, they can view it in their QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. Please know that only contractors you invited to enter their W-9 information during setup will have this account.
However, you can also check the status of your contractor's copy in the Taxes tab.
Here's how:
- Navigate to Taxes.
- Select the 1099 filings.
- Check the Current filing lists.
If the Recipient's Copy shows Emailed or Mailed and nothing is received even after checking the spam messages, we recommend contacting the QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) Team to check the root cause.
