I am about to scream trying to get a QB answer to this question that should be simple. Can I pay my employees direct deposit to a payroll card?

I have seen a couple of posts on other places that the Turbo Pay Prepaid Visa Card is the only option but I can't get a confirmation of that plus the link to the form on the QB site doesn't work

I'd be glad to provide the details you need, @robinmcd41.

Yes, you're right. We use the Intuit Turbo℠ Pay Prepaid Visa® Card in which you can pay your employees by Direct Deposit.

Also, I want to make sure you're able to use Intuit Turbo Pay Prepaid Visa Card to pay your employees by direct deposit. Account concerns for the payment card is mainly handled by our TurboTax Team. They can assist you with the application and provide an alternative link for you to apply.

I called TurboTax per your instructions (also here https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/employees-and-payroll/i-have-a-new-employee-that-d...) at [Removed]. I talked with a number of people, and was redirected the the wrong department a bunch of times, being told each time that I needed to talk to a different person, per usual. Nobody I talked with had heard of this product. Someone with Quickbooks support eventually told me that employees would need a Credit Karma Money Spending card, which apparently is a product TurboTax has a relationship with, where customers getting tax refunds can easily get the refunds along with a debit card.
So I called support for that product [Removed] and was told that my employee would have to get a Credit Karma checking account, then get the card tied to that account. Not a solution!

I have come to the conclusions that #1 your customer support is a joke, and #2 there is no such thing as a Turbo Pay prepaid visa card. Please prove me wrong by linking a website that I can direct an employee who does not have a checking account to, so they can sign up for this card!

Hi, @user84877

Allow me to jump in and share some insights about Credit Karma Money in Turbo tax and how does it with QuickBooks.

Processing direct deposit requires a bank account where the money is deposited. With this, your employee would start a new Credit Karma checking account to get a debit card.

Credit Karma is an online credit service that operates under the principle that everyone is entitled to a free and honest credit score. To that end, the site allows you to check the credit whenever you'd like without paying any fees. You can also build up savings with a deposit into your employee's account.

You can check these articles for more details.

I'm always a post-away if you have other concerns in processing direct deposits. Have a good one.

I did not ask about Credit Karma and I do not need information about it beyond what I provided already in my last post. You failed to address the original issue entirely, though I'm sure you've checked some box required by your employer regarding replying to posts here. I get it; I have worked for a large corporation before. Though saying nothing would have been preferable to your response.

Is there such a thing as a Turbo Pay prepaid visa card or not? Your customers deserve a clear, straight answer including the exact steps for an employee to apply for one, and not referring us to call someone else or look elsewhere for the answer. I have called everyone you have ever told me to call, and visited every related support article, done all the legwork, and come up with nothing.
