Hello, fitz.

I'll ensure you can add Google trips to the mileage section QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

To begin with, may I know if you get an error message when adding the trips?

If not, the issue may be due to an increased amount of stored cookies and cache that can cause trouble accessing some features and other activities you work on your browser. To isolate the issue, let's perform the basic browser troubleshooting steps. It also helps to improve and speed up your browser's performance.

First, you'll want to restart your browser. Then, try updating your bank in an incognito or private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N

Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P

Safari: press Command + Shift +

If it works on the private browser, go back to the regular browser and clear your browser's cache. Then, see if you can now add trips to your QBSE account. Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.

Additionally, if you need more guidance with the steps in importing trips from Google, you can refer to the steps below:

  1. Go to the Miles menu.
  2. Select the Add trip dropdown and then Import Google trips.
  3. In the section titled Import your work trips, paste the Google Timeline file link into the Google Drive URL field.
  4. Then, hit Import.

Once imported, you can now categorize the trips. See this article for reference: Import Google Timeline trips into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Moreover, you can also check out this link for further details on managing trips in QBSE: Manually track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please comment below for clarification or additional queries about managing trips in your QuickBooks account. I'm always here to help you.
