I can't see all of my payroll items.

I have employees choosing certain payroll items that are not visible in my payroll items list. When I try to add the payroll item i can't because it tells me it already exists. I cant see it. Is there some sort of filter somewhere that I don't know about?

To begin, note that there is no specific filter on the payroll item list page that can hide payroll items. The problem you're experiencing is a possible cause of a cache issue. Browsers use cache to speed up the loading of web pages, but over time, it accumulates and leads to unusual behavior of the program.

 

To fix this, we'll need to do some browser troubleshooting. Start by accessing your QBO company in a private or incognito browser, this bypasses the cache and helps us determine if the issue is cache-related:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P

  • Safari: Command + Shift + NBrowserTs.jpg

 

Then, access the payroll item list again. If you can view all the payroll items, proceed to clear your browser's cache to remove specific issues and help the program run efficiently. Also, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

 

Additionally, you can run payroll reports to get a comprehensive overview of your business finances.
