I'm in quick books self-employed. They are asking about W2 data. I don't have W2 but I'm filing jointly with my husband. Do I enter his W2 or leave this as Zero?

they are also asking about insurance and HSA - all through my husband.  Do I enter this here in my quickbooks self-employed, or wait until I'm back in turbotax and ready to enter my husbands data?  We are filing jointly.  It is very unclear whether this is the correct place to enter this information.

Thanks for posting here in the Community, @frolic2021.

I'll share details about managing your W2 in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

It is advisable to verify your W-2 income entry in QBSE with your accountant or a tax professional for assistance and guidance, particularly if you are filing jointly with your spouse. They are in the best position to advise you on how to proceed and offer more knowledge regarding this matter.

Additionally, since you'll be filing jointly with your husband, make sure to track your status, including your spouse's information, and update your tax information to get the exact taxes.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Tax Profile.
  2. Under the Tax profile, enter your Spouse's first namelast nameannual W2 income, and federal withholding.
  3. Scroll down and proceed with the Deduction and other required information.
  4. Then, click Save.

I've also added these articles for additional reference in managing taxes separately and jointly and filing W2 in QBSE:
