I'm new to quickbooks online. How do I setup e-file for my state/federal taxes?

I recently upgraded from from Quickbooks Mac to Quickbooks online and I thought everything would come over already setup. I had e-file setup for both state and federal taxes.

Let me walk you through on how to set up an e-file for your state and federal taxes. Here's how:

 

  1. Let's sign in your QBO account.
  2. Within your book, click the Gear icon.
  3. Select Payroll Settings under Your Company.
  4. Under Taxes, E-file and E-pay.
  5. Then, select E-pay and e-file (recommended).
